Bears News · Stay Safe and Be Healthy

To all of our Warren Athletics Families:

First and foremost, please stay safe and be healthy. These are turbulent times. The health and well-being of our student-athletes are of utmost importance to our Athletic Department.

This pandemic has been devastating. Our hearts go out to all of the families who have been affected by COVID-19. There have been myriad consequences, both direct and indirect, of this pandemic. One of those being the suspension of all athletic activities. For all of the coaches and student-athletes who have devoted innumerable hours to their sport, my heart breaks for you because I sincerely understand the commitment and dedication you have poured into your craft. For so many students, athletics is their sanctuary. Without their teams and their sports, their safe space has been stripped from them.

For those of you who need an outlet for your energy, please feel free to join our Google Classroom for Warren Athletics. The code is uc3j2cs. You are also encouraged to join our Warren Athletics FlipGrid using the code I will be posting body-weight exercises that can be done from the comfort of your own home. These exercises do not necessitate any equipment, so they are readily accessible to all student-athletes. They can be modified to be more or less challenging depending on your fitness level. If you have questions about how to execute or modify any of these exercises, please reach out to me directly at I will try to post videos and tutorials regularly. Exercise can help with your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Please use these resources as you see fit to keep your mind and body healthy and calm.

Please reach out to me directly if there is any other way in which I can help you cope with this difficult time. Again, for constant contact during this school shutdown. Take care of yourself and your loved ones. Please use the necessary precautions to remain healthy. Know that your Bear Family is here for you even if we cannot physically be there for you.

With strength and love,

Samantha Miyahara (Warren High School Athletic Director)
